Winter season :

Cordon is a small family resort that has a few ski lifts and a ski school. It is near the resorts : Combloux-Megève, Contamines-Montjoie, Chamonix, and Flaine Grand Massif.

Nordic skiing: you will find cross-country skiing and biathlon trails in Les Contamines-Montjoie, Megève, Agy and Pierre Carrée near Les Carroz and Les Saisies.

Several toboggan runs are regularly traced and maintained near the chalet. Remember to take your sledges

A little escape in the wilderness with a pack of dog sledding? You let yourself be guided by the Musher and his dogs on the snowy trails

The Palais des sports de Megève welcomes you for ice hockey matches and opens its ice rink.

Summer season:

In Cordon, you are in the heart of the Mont-Blanc region and you can enjoy many sports and exciting activities.

Discover Paragliding: in Cordon and Plaine-Joux (Plateau d'Assy). In Annecy you will flight in Hang Glider over the lake in tandem. Departure from the Col de la Forclaz and landing in Doussard near the lake.

Try canyoning with your family (from the age of 7): jumps, abseiling, slides and natural pools in the torrents. You will find several courses in Balme, Saint-Gervais, Chamonix.

Let yourself go along the water by rafting, hydrospeed or packraft. For the more experienced, head to Italy for the mythical "Dora Baltea".

And if you prefer to climb, take the via Ferrata de Curalla (Assy plateau). You can also simply climb trees in the many tree climbing parks.

Cordon and its surroundings are an ideal playground for mountain biking. Mountain bikes are available at the tourist office.

You can also visit Haute-Savoie by motorbike. Discover mountain pass : Aravis, Colombière, Forclaz, Montets, Grand Saint Bernard, Petit Saint Bernard, Cormet de Roselend, Saisies.

Cordon and its heritage:

Cordon is a small village nicknamed “the balcony of Mont Blanc”, it has remained authentic with its farms, its granite basins, , its attics and bread ovens still in operation.

Enjoy the panorama of the Mont Blanc chain from the Plateau des Bénés and Croisse Baulet. Eighty km of marked trails await you in Cordon

The baroque church of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption was erected from 1781 to 1787. The baroque trail connects the towns of Cordon, Combloux, Saint-Gervais and Les Contamines-Montjoie over 20 km.

You can enjoy nature activities in Cordon: trout fishing in torrent, picking mushrooms, blueberries and raspberries.

Festivals of August 15 and bread festival (pomegranates, folk group). The grenadiers, offer exercises modeled on those of their ancestors.

The Abérieux farm is a farm of 25 dairy cows. You can participate in milking and buy cheese, butter and yogurt.

Family fun:

The beautiful natural biotope lake in Combloux was expanded and rehabilitated in 2022. The 3 lakes of “Les Ilettes” are dedicated to (fishing, swimming, and windsurfing).

Lake in Passy is equipped with games for children.

The green lake at the Plateau d'Assy is a mountain lake at 1300 meters. It is accessible by the Himalayan footbridge or by road to Plaine Joux. Swimming is prohibited, but fishing is allowed.

If you want to relax, there are Wellness Areas in Megève and Chamonix and Thermes in Saint-Gervais.

In Megève and Chamonix, toboggan enthusiasts can slide all year round thanks to the 4-season sledding! Launched at 36 km/h, treat yourself to a pure cocktail of thrills.

In Sallanches, take à look at the market on every Saturday morning. The 12 cinemas and bowling alley will delight young and old on rainy days.

The must-see sites:

Direction Chamonix Mont-Blanc, a must-see tourist site in the Pays du Mont Blanc renowned for its large ski area and starting point for many hikes .

The cable car at the entrance of Chamonix will take you to the Aiguille du Midi (3842 m) and until Italy if you take a round trip by gondola to Italy (Helbronner mountain).

Discover also the Mer de Glace and its sculpted cave accessible by the cogwheel train of Montenvers. From Le Fayet or Saint-Gervais, you can take another rack railway that takes you to the Nid d'Aigle (2343m). It is the starting point for mountaineers to climb Mont Blanc.

On the road back to Cordon, take the direction of Merlet Park in Les Houches. You will discover marmots, buffs, ibex, lamas, mouflons and deers. Then make a detour to Servoz to take the suspended path of the Gorges of the Diosaz.

A few kilometers from Cordon, do not hesitate to make a getaway to Megève. A large area of alpine and Nordic skiing, its sports palace, bars and restaurants, its altiport.

About an hour from Cordon, discover the resort of Flaine and the desert of Platé. The cable car accesses the limestone plateau of 2000 hectares sheltering a beautiful flora and fauna.

You can stroll through Annecy, one of the most beautiful cities of Haute Savoie. Cycle around the lake and taste a delicious dish of perch fillets. Geneva is well known and for its museums and. Yvoire for its cobbled streets and panoramic views of the lake.
